Welcome to the NADFAS West Midlands Area Website
We hope you find
these pages useful. If you are interested in finding out what NADFAS has to
offer, click on the link to your left (NADFAS website). This takes you to the
National Association website. If you are considering joining us, locate a
society near to you and clink on the link to that society to learn about
meeting venues and lecture programmes. You will find there is plenty on offer
and you can get involved as much or as little as you choose.
Our area team is here
to enhance your time with NADFAS. There are 19 different areas. The West Midlands Area team serve 15 societies and over 4,000
members.
Our purpose is twofold:
To offer further
opportunities to meet with like-minded members coming from a wider area.
We do this by organising events such as study days, often as a course.
Previously an art foundation course covered art from the Middle Ages
to the present day and this time the course is to cover domestic architecture
over a similar period.
Everyone involved in activities organised through NADFAS, such as Church
Recording, Young Arts, Church Trails and Heritage Volunteers hold regular
meetings somewhere in the Area to share their successes and discuss any
problems; sharing ideas seems to motivate and inspire.
The Area Team also organise days for society committee members to share best
practise.
To act as a conduit between the National Team at NADFAS House in London and the 15 societies in the West Midlands ensuring that we are all doing our best to fulfil the aims of the association.
