Rugby Decorative and Fine Arts Society in conjunction with Garden Organic, the UK's leading organic growing charity, held an art competition open to all schools in the Rugby area. The topic was Organic Living.
Over 120 art works in total were submitted from 3 local schools and all of these were displayed in the Floor One Gallery at Rugby Museum & Art Gallery from 29th April to 10th May.
The judges were Sally Howells, NADFAS West Midlands Young Arts Co-ordinator, Miles Bremner, CEO of Garden Organic and Jess Morgan, Curator of Rugby Art Gallery.
At a reception at the gallery on 28th April, the Mayor of Rugby, Councillor Bill Sewell, presented tokens donated by Rod Waspe (Rugby) Ltd, a local art shop, to the winners.
The winners were Tommy Fuller (Dunchurch Boughton C of E Junior), Louise Horrex (Long Lawford Primary) and Oliver Hargrave (Leamington Hastings Cof E Infant )
